These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a contract between you and Inixio LLC ("Inixio," "we," "us"), the maker of ScanDaddy. By downloading, installing, or using the ScanDaddy iOS app (the "App") or the website scandaddy.app (together, the "Service"), you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
The App is licensed to you under Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Apple EULA"). These Terms supplement the Apple EULA; if they conflict regarding the license to the App itself, the Apple EULA controls.
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. ScanDaddy is intended for adults operating a business, freelancing, or otherwise tracking their own expenses.
Subject to these Terms, Inixio grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store's Usage Rules. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, rent, reverse engineer, or create derivative works of the App except as permitted by law.
The App is free to use with a limited number of receipts. ScanDaddy Pro is a one-time, non-consumable in-app purchase sold through Apple's In-App Purchase system at the price displayed in the App. It is not a subscription and does not renew. Purchases are processed by Apple under Apple's terms; refund requests are handled by Apple through its standard process, and Inixio cannot issue refunds directly. You can restore a prior purchase on any device signed into the same Apple ID using "Restore Purchases." Prices may change for future purchasers; a change does not affect a purchase you have already made.
You own the receipt images, text, notes, and other content you put into the App ("Your Content"). Inixio does not receive, store, or have access to Your Content; it exists only on your device and in files you choose to export.
Because we hold no copy, we cannot recover Your Content if your device is lost, damaged, reset, or if the App is deleted. You are solely responsible for maintaining backups using the App's backup feature, iCloud Backup, or another method, and for keeping original paper receipts where the law requires them.
ScanDaddy organizes information you provide. Its category suggestions, IRS Schedule C line references, totals, summaries, and exports are automated, informational, and general in nature. They are not tax, legal, accounting, or financial advice, may be incorrect or incomplete for your situation, and do not take into account your specific circumstances or changes in the law.
Using the Service does not create an accountant-client, attorney-client, tax-preparer, fiduciary, or other professional relationship with Inixio. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of your tax filings, for determining whether any expense is deductible, and for satisfying record-keeping and substantiation requirements of the IRS or any taxing authority. Consult a qualified tax professional before relying on any output of the Service.
The App reads receipts using on-device optical character recognition and on-device machine-learning models. These technologies can misread or miss merchants, amounts, dates, tax, and categories, especially on faded, crumpled, handwritten, or low-light receipts. The App flags some uncertain results for review, but it cannot flag every error. You must review and verify every extracted value before relying on it for tax, accounting, reimbursement, or any other purpose. Inixio does not warrant that extracted data is accurate, complete, or that any export meets the requirements of any taxing authority, accountant, or software.
You agree not to use the Service to violate any law; to infringe anyone's rights; to attempt to gain unauthorized access to any system; to interfere with the Service or Apple's platform; to misrepresent the Service's capabilities to others; or to reverse engineer the App except where the law expressly permits.
The App, website, ScanDaddy name and logo, and all related software, designs, and text are owned by Inixio or its licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. These Terms grant you no rights in them except the limited license in Section 3. Feedback you send us may be used by Inixio without obligation to you.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, INIXIO DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, AND UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty disclaimers, so some of the above may not apply to you.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, INIXIO AND ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, AND CONTRACTORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, LOST PROFITS, LOST REFUNDS, DISALLOWED DEDUCTIONS, TAXES, PENALTIES, INTEREST, AUDIT COSTS, OR PROFESSIONAL FEES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS, HOWEVER CAUSED AND UNDER ANY THEORY OF LIABILITY, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
INIXIO'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID INIXIO FOR THE APP IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE, OR (B) TWENTY U.S. DOLLARS ($20). Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
You agree to defend and hold harmless Inixio from claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from Your Content, your tax filings, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
You may stop using the Service at any time by deleting the App. Inixio may terminate or suspend your license if you materially breach these Terms. Sections 5 through 12 and 14 through 17 survive termination.
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date, and where practical noted in the App or an App Store release note. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing any claim, you agree to email [email protected] with a description of the dispute and give us 30 days to resolve it informally. Any claim not resolved informally must be brought in the state or federal courts located in Nevada, and you consent to their jurisdiction, except that either party may bring an eligible claim in small-claims court. Nothing in these Terms waives rights you have under mandatory consumer-protection laws where you live.
These Terms are between you and Inixio only, not Apple Inc. ("Apple"). Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. Inixio, not Apple, is solely responsible for the App, for maintenance and support (contact [email protected]), and for addressing any claim relating to the App, including product-liability claims, claims that the App fails to conform to legal or regulatory requirements, consumer-protection claims, and intellectual-property claims. If the App fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated a "terrorist supporting" country and are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties. You must comply with applicable third-party terms when using the App. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and Inixio about the Service. If any provision is held unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. You may not assign these Terms; Inixio may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver.
